The Vayen is a design of three different Balinese offering baskets with lids, with a bamboo base covered with white and beige beads in a checkered pattern, consisting of Small (12x12x12cm), Medium (17x17x17cm) and Large (20x20x20cm). The white-beige checkered pattern is the third and softest face of the checkered baskets: white squares next to beige squares. From a distance, the baskets appear almost monochrome light; only up close does the regular checkered pattern unfold as a gentle surprise.
