What is the Balinese Offering Baskets with Beads - Maud?

The Maud is a design of three different Balinese offering baskets with lids, with a bamboo base covered in beige and black beads in a checkered pattern, consisting of Small (12x12x12cm), Medium (17x17x17cm), and Large (20x20x20cm). The checkered pattern is fundamentally different from the line patterns of the other baskets: it is regular, symmetrical, and repetitive. Beige squares next to black squares, row after row, bead after bead built into a grid that looks surprisingly neat for handcrafted work. The lid features the same checkered pattern and closes the basket.
